Recognizing Excellence and Powering Ahead

By Generac PR Staff March 1, 2017

Nashville, Tenn., recently played host to the annual sales and service conference for industry-leading generator and engine-powered tool manufacturer Generac Power Systems. Held Jan. 23-25, nearly 1600 Generac distributors and dealers from around the world descended upon the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center to ask questions of company leaders, communicate with industry professionals, construct effective sales and service strategies and learn best practices for marketing their generator businesses.

The event had particular value for Generac Industrial Power distributors, as detailed product insights and innovative programs for industrial power professionals were introduced throughout the three-day conference.

“Generac’s industrial distribution network has some of the most committed professionals in the power generation industry,” said Rick Apple, vice president of commercial and industrial sales, Generac Industrial Power. “As they play a major role in our company’s success, it is important that we take time to recognize their efforts, facilitate unique networking opportunities and introduce them to our new tools, products and technologies.

“These independent businesses have done a great job embracing our dedication to training, service and sales initiatives over the past year. The annual conference gives us the opportunity to thank them for their hard work and prepare them for another year of high performance, global leadership and individual growth.”

After enjoying a few days of informational discussions, interactive exercises and fun-filled entertainment, attendees gathered for an awards ceremony, in which nominees were acknowledged for their commitment to training, service operations and sales performances.

The Eagle Award, recognized as the event’s top honor, was given to the top-performing Generac Industrial Power distributor, Energy Systems Southeast (ESSE), headquartered in Birmingham, Ala. While other parties were nominated and awarded for their noteworthy sales, training and service performances in 2016, ESSE’s commitment to training, marketing efforts, financial growth and achievement of revenue targets ultimately earned them this distinguished accolade.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be named this year’s Eagle Award winner,” said Mike Evans, director of industrial sales, ESSE. “As an active member of one of the strongest sales and service networks nationwide, we’ve been able to build on our relationship with Generac Industrial Power, interact with other distributorrs and discuss best industry practices at this insightful event.

“Generac Industrial Power has experienced dynamic growth over the last few years, and the conference helps members of our business understand some of Generac’s newest products and programs while gathering insights that will help us succeed in the future.”

Generac dealers and distributors attend a discussion regarding Generac’s lead generation efforts in 2017 and beyond.

By interacting with industry professionals, listening to their current needs and fielding a variety of technology and product-related questions, the annual sales and service conference allows Generac to keep lines of communication open, create sustainable growth opportunities and maintain their position as one of the global leaders in the power generation industry.
